Beats Antique


Tonight (September 28) is the Beats Antique concert at the Orpheum! Beats Antique is a bay-area group that mixes electric, acoustic, and traditional music, all rolled into one with a hint of “steampunk circus.” Legendary dancer and choreographer Zoe Jakes, with musicians David Satori and Tommy Cappel  will put on a performance to dazzle the senses! National Homes Sales Drop in August

house_glass_03We recently posted the Flagstaff Homes Sales statistics.  While Flagstaff saw a small tick up in home sales from July, nationally sales are down a bit.  Interest rates are still at a record lows, however inventory is down and that has driven prices up.  In August the country saw a decrease of 0.9% in closed sales from July.  We are still, however, 0.8% higher than August, 2015.  The median house price is up 5.1% from this time last year.  Follow the link below to see the full article from The National Association of Realtors.

Monthly Flagstaff Homes Sales Report –August Flagstaff Homes Sales

Below you will find the sales for single family homes in the Flagstaff area for August 2016.  The market saw a total of 94 homes sold during the month, down from 103 sales during August 2015.  There were 43 sales in the $300,000-$400,000 range.  With less than a two month’s supply, we continue to struggle with inventory levels under $400,0000.  Any sellers contemplating selling TAKE NOTE!  For the sales in August, the average sales price compared to the Original list price was 96%.  Sellers are coming very close to hitting their original list price.

The median price for single family homes sales in August was $375,900 up from $367,450 in July.

Flagstaff townhome sales soared in August 2016 with 45, and there were an impressive 28 condo sales.

Flagstaff Festival of Science

The Flagstaff Science Festival starts this Friday! Featuring over 100 free events, this 10 day festival is not to be missed! The festivities get an early start Thursday evening at the Flagstaff Star Party.


Cornucopia Fall Festival


Autumn is officially starting this Saturday in downtown Flagstaff at the Cornucopia Fall Festival. Featuring pony rides, a hay maze, live entertainment, and food/drinks from places like Fratelli Pizza, Big Foot BBQ, and Lumberyard Brewing Company, proceeds will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Flagstaff, Flagstaff Family Food Center, and Grand Canyon Youth. Admission is free to the first 250 people with donations of two non-perishable food items.

3rd Annual Star Party


Tomorrow evening starts off the 3rd annual Flagstaff Star Party, the year’s ultimate celebration of our city’s beautiful dark skies! Enjoy the stars up close with telescopes, hone your artistic skills at a night photography workshop, and learn about asteroids at an evening lecture.
